Margaret Au Brown is President and Co-Head, of CIT Healthcare.

Prior to joining CIT, as part of the founding leadership team for the Healthcare business, Brown was the Managing Director and Team Leader for GE Healthcare Financial Services’ Strategic Relationship Group, which was GE HFS’s most senior sales team. 

From 1988 to 2001, Brown was a senior banker at Citigroup. First, as Citibank’s Health Care Finance head and senior credit officer, she oversaw Citi’s efforts in achieving number one rankings in healthcare debt financings in 1999 won the “Deal of the Year” award from Dealogic. As a Managing Director in Salomon Smith Barney’s Health Care Investment Banking group, she was responsible for the services and provider sectors from 1999 to 2001. While there, Brown led the first two European IPOs of healthcare companies and won financing mandates from HCA, Tenet, Triad and Foundation Health (HealthNet). 

Brown began her banking career in 1978 in California and became a healthcare banker in 1984 at the Bank of Boston. She received a BA in Political Science from the University of California at Los Angeles.
